Hi. very nice space. beatifoul tank. very nice decore( plants & stons & rocks) nice african cichlid. i enjoyed. Excellent setup.
Thanks, i actually set it up to how my africans will find it most appealing to breed. I find that plenty of piles of smaller rock gives you pleny of babies. I have never had to seperate babies from the tank, they always survive. The amazing part is, even with as many cichlids i have the tank is still very peaceful.
Very good, i like the way that you don't have to separate that Lab breeders, that should bea fantastic experience just like in nature! Good work!
I have a malawi tank with socolofi, auratus, sprengerae, demasoni, caeruleus, pearlmutt, marmalade cat zebras, lombardoi. Still no joy in any breeding. Any tips?
Thanks for the advice Karl. One of my female marmalade cat zebras is holding at the moment. I have added some more rock and rearranged the tank so that there is some tight places for fry. My female demasoni was holding but only for about five days. Not sure what happened there. Female marmalade cat has been holding for about ten days now. Hopefully i will see fry soon
I have finally seen three small fish about 1cm in length hiding between the rocks. Not sure who is responsible for them. They are grey with blue fins.

Karl, i think the fry belong to my socolofi. Now i have about 60 fry swimming about all at different sizes. Two that are easy to recognise are the auratus and the demasoni. Really hope my demasoni make it to adult size. Only time will tell.
My yellow labs have not bred yet but i think they are still too young. My fry numbers are getting smaller by the day. Survival of the fittest i suppose.
