Vince, I've never raised plecos but i would think of moving this cave to a maternity tank filled with water from this tank, no??? And I believe males raise the fry , correct??

so you are saying that vacumming the fry into their own tank is not a good idea? Ten gallon filled with this water and filter moved over is not a good idea. i know i will lose a few...

Shawn I move them to their own tank once their wigglers I just shake them out of the cave

cool rob! I guess the only problem is gettin the male outa the cave lol.
Rob Robinson » posted 2011/02/16 02:08 am
Just keep filling it with water from the tank and pouring it out

Move the Male with the wigglers- pic up the cave and put it into another tank... The dad will defend them and when they leave the cave just catch him with a net put him into the original tank..I usually leave them for three weeks or so with the youngsters and within a week of moving the father back the whole process starts over again. (feed the Youngsters Zuccinni)

I would put a big net under the whole cave to remove it.. then gently put it into the new tank,.
