You wanted a conversation piece and instead you get a controversial piece :O
Leigh, That's what my son wanted...and so I went for it! They are not painted or dyed (which is cruel and shortens the life and health of the fish) Glofish are bred this way and are perfectly healthy and live out their normal expected life span in captivity. (No controversy!) Although I do think it stinks that they purposely sterilize them at the hatchery prior to sale, so that owners can't breed and re-sell them!!! :(
