What is the tall plant ...and how do you keep it out of the filter ?

what type of lighting and camera do you use.i can never get a pic to come out this clear

lighting I use the one that came with the tank , i'm still new at this my cameras a samsung S730 7.2 mega pixels. Jerry the plant is fake and i dont know what its called its doesnt go near the filter never really thought about it..thanks for the smiles i like my new hobby :)
