This is my 4 X2X2 Malawi Tank

I have approx 40 fish in my tank against all information given to me i have many non compatible species together. They all spawn regularly and so far after a yr there are no dead or injured fish.

Fish range from the humble Labidichromis species to the much more aggressive zebras and nimbochromis venustus and livingstonii.

Its a real mix but it seems to work due to the overstocking theory which means that there are too many fish to fight for dominance.

how many gal and what kind of filtration are u using?

its 4 by 2 by 2 feet and approx 300 litres so maybe 78 gtallon not sure on conversion but i am running a 1900 l/ph filter and and doin weekly water changes. Every water change usually follows with a week of spawning by one of many pairs. Always got mouthfuls and never had a hurt fish after 2 yrs. alot of em have grown up together.

Thanks for input, its my pride and joy and the pics dont do it justice, i also have another 4 footer and 3 baby tanks. Movin to the garage soon cause house is little full ha ha.

nice amount of fish , would add more rockwork though ,but thats just me .

The rocks are comming guys dont worry, i bought my mate out then ordered more so ill update wen done. Fish are happy without more but i want the rocks so bugger em ha ha

Bulid up your hiding spaces. This will reduce stress in your smaller, less agressive fish. Also, hide your equiptment with wood, rock or plants.

This tank is only temporary so im not changing anything at the moment. We are movin soon and its just to much stuffin around for now. When i move ill take more pics as these ones dont do it justice anyway
