which sand did you decide to go with ..

Kylie i ended up using pool sand that bip recommended i washed it really really good tho. and the water did not get cloudy one bit im really surprised but o well i just wanna get fish in there the water is testing out fine with everything so soon hopefully

pool sand looks great .. i am going to use it in my next tank..

Kyle its cheap as hell too i got a 50 poung bag for like 5dollars and some change. everyone who has seen it so far says they love the sand. It was very easy to washed i used my dads brand new cooler(he kinda got a lil mad) and then did wat bip said to just kept soaking it and dumping soaking and dumping till the water was coming up clear. now i just need to get some Rocks and Raise the Ph a lil bit

hey we are even now ..he he he... i put soem white dead coral inmy tank great for keeping the ph up a bit.. i also found a cichlid ph 8.2 salt additive you add to your tank and it keeps it at 8.2 exactly gret stuff..

Wow i will have to go look for that i have some white dead coral im gonna be putting in and getting some tomorrow from my LFS they have it pretty cheap its good and i loved the white rock with the sand.

Can't wait to see it Robert. Yeah, I love the pool sand. Its so clean and its easy to vac.

Nice id love to see em. i wished my LFS was opened today but of course i got there like 10 minutes after they locked the door the guy told me if i needed food or some chemical for the fish i could get something but i had no time to look around so i told him ill see him tomorrow lol.

Yea Roger it wasn't the best timing on my part i kinda sat around all day before i decided to go. but ill be there for awhile tomorrow not sure if im gonna pick up any fish tom depends wat they have.

Kylie thats awesome. I cant wait to see him sounds great thats a good deal i wish my lfs would have some bigger africans but they only have smaller ones at the moment i can order anything i want there tho he is pretty cool about it.

no sure what type he is .. blue face and the rest of his body and head is red .. will get photo soon as he settles..

Robert Awesome! Glad to see you are on your way. The sand looks great. Keep in mind that when you start adding deco, you will need to take some of that water out before hand so you don't overflow, lol. Can't wait to see it all finished!!
