Can you have peacock cichlids with these plants (the ones in my tank)

You can, peacocks are pretty "plant friendly" for africans. 30 gallons is a little on the small side for them though. Try a dwarf peacock (A. hueseri, or A. "Gallireya Reef") as these stay small
