A busy tank - I've always kept it this way as it helps cut bullying and also the males colour up with so many other males around. I feed them a mix of spirulina flakes, mussels, Spectrum pellets etc and also use Cichlid mineral salts or liquid which I have found to add about 20% to their colours - they also seem happier somehow - even more greedy for food.
Along with 2 white marine lights I use a smaller blue one - it takes the slight yellowness out of the water and makes the fish very vivid.
The eye biter is the king of the tank - not to vicious though which is lucky (as long as you're not a lttle fry)
