nice ! this your first go at discus? i've been told to go with no substrate but didn't make sense to me . don't know the reasoning behind that but mine are thriving . you have a very nice group !

one discus per 10 gal. if you overstock the water quality goes down quickly with these guys, they thrieve on fresh water. They are out of the rivers. But they have been breed so much, I dont believe in it much either. It does help to keep the tank clean though.
