sounds good man. personally i would use 2x aquaclear 30 powerfilter, since u will have plecos, and especially if you want geos, i would say do the L201's and a pair of gymnogeophagus balzanii. i would add about 3-4 vals, and some smalee pieces of driftwood scatered lightly on the bottom so the plecos dont have to fight for territory, believe it or not, plecos can be freakin nasty, my female clown pleco attacks any new plecos i put in the tank, she eventually gets over it, but she did some damage to my 5" male L200 when i put him in, he had a nice big white spot on his head from her sucking onit, if u dont catch it in time u can loose em. each pleco needs its own territory. thats why i have all of those little lace rock caves. and the big rock cave is split into 3 different areas by 2 pieces of driftwood, their are different entrances and exits for each section.

thanks brian, I am leaning now more towards just catfish in the tank ( I am sick of trying to find geos and don't really feel like paying for shipping anymore.) I was thinking of the L201's, some oil catfish (cen. pergiuae) and maybe some south american bumblebees ( then maybe a pair of curviceps to have a fish swimming around)a couple of vals, still looking for more driftwood around and then a couple of stone hiding spots.

sounds awesome, love the mix! i am in going tomarrow to pickup a curviceps, and a festivum, and an angel for my other 29g, i am also going to do live plants in it. here is the plecos i am going to add to the other 29g - 1x albino long fin bn, 1x regular long fin bn, 1x pitbull pleco, 1x medusa pleco, and 1x peppermint pleco. then i will have a curviceps, a festivum, and a black veil angel.

Thanks Byron. I need to do a 50% waterchange tomorrow so the water clears up (tannis and blackwater really made it dark to the look.. which has made it nearly impossible to take pictures)

How many tanks do you have? Are they all in your house? They are all so wonderful!

Like like the 'mood' that they both give. :)

you might not think so after I post the new pictures of after it was redone. I still like it a lot, but the change was needed (apistos drove me nuts! several were breeding but they always killed their own fry.. except a few that are still in there)
