55 Gallon Malawi

by Michael London from Anchorage / USA

Description

  • Category: Lake Malawi
  • Tank size: 48x18x24 inches = 89 gallons
  • Tank size: 121x45x60 cm = 336 liters

Diy rock backgroung I made. Plenty of hiding spaces but with lots of open water. I desinged this tank to give the fish a lot of hiding spaces but did not want to have the usual stack of rocks. They rock wall stops 3 inches short of the bottom of the tank. this space is divided and covered from view with the large rocks on the bottom. The fish can swim behind the rocks to find there own little caves.

Decoration

  • Gravel: A mix of of cheap grey play sand and black sand from Tahiti.
  • Plants: None

Rocks that i picked up off the side of the mountain. Cleaned them, boiled them.

Technics

  • Light:
  • Light-Duration:
  • Filtration: Fluval 404
