snow white socofoli?
snow white socofoli?
We were told this fish was aggressive when we got him and he ended up acting as a parent to all ourbabies. He beat up what we were told was a colbult blue when we put him in the tank to heal after getting beat up by stripe our black belt.

Well I have one in my tank and there are times he goes in "time out" for his over aggresive behavior.

I've heard people say they give their fish time out's. We don't usually have to do that. What do u do for time out's?

To give them time outs you put them in a little floating breeding pin thing. Usually it's used for holding females to release their fry into. It's really good though for punishing an aggressive fish. I find that in my 90 gallon tank which has tons and tons of rockwork (I've collected and cleaned quite a few rocks, I couldn't even fit them all into the 90 gallon if I tried so some sit aside or in the other tanks) I have very, very little aggression. Strangely though it is in the hospital tank (occupied by 4 female convicts and currently one healing wounded male Lombardoi/Kenyi Cichlid) that my fish are total wusses in. I think they pick it up from the convicts; those scardies. (And yes I know convicts are usually real aggressive but mine are quite the opposite). Oh and just the latest news from me. One of my female albino Socofoli's is holding and probably soon going to release her fry. The last 2 batches strongly appear to have been hybrids between the Julidochromis Marlieri and the albino Socolofi, but it just seems so unlikely and I am still in doubt as to who the parents are.

Turning the temp down (do it slowly to avoid an Ich outbreak)) will reduce

I usually run my tanks @ 80 and I'll take it down to 70ish if they get real

I did turn the temp down the other day, it didn't seem to help. How low did
