it is 5-6 ionches,definately not mature yet, I don't believe they ever lose the spots.

very nice, I love that he is all black, ours changes from a tan color to black, is that normal?

Cichlid freak ours did that alot when we first got them) we have two...if something upsets them they fade out and if in the same tank the less dominant one never turns dark. this one can change color from the one end of the tank to the other...

thank-you, he is a lesser dominant fish in the tank, but he swims and eats freely so we do not believe he is in any danger, they are still waiting to be put into the 90 gallon, (which is being treated for ick) I think he will like it better in there where they all have to establish some territory!
