Okay chuck i decide instead of turning my 30galon to tangyanikans i'm going for dwarfs.
picture this 30Galon planted, with some neons, danios and something else maybe a Brinstle nose pleco. and the dwarf S/A cichlids.

Is it true that SA dwarfs are very sensitive to water quality?
Jerry Goebert » posted 2007/12/29 - 18:10
Jason...I keep 100 africans with no problems...my experience with dwarfs is that they are sensitive to everything. I also have a dominate A. Borrelli that kills every other dwarf I put in there. If you want to try dwarfs, you need a tank densely packed with live (not fake) plants...and clean water. I'm no good with plants

well so far i tried to put them in the 30G tank without any work so far and they seem not to like it i'm just waiting to get rid of female conv and fry then they be happy in ther

one word jerry.............. flourish . really kicks plants off to great start.
Jerry Goebert » posted 2007/12/29 - 18:49
Harvick ... thanks. I have them in a 33 hex..just one 24 inch bulb, fake plants and some Java Moss. I use a water softening pillow and Black Water Expert (a peat concentrate)

i use it and my plants are doing great , they take off and root in substrate after only 2-3 doses , then i cut back on dosage to half of recommended

otherwise i have a jungle , which by sounds of care for dwarfs is what you want
