lots of water changes is all i can suggest. they seem to breed shortly after i change water. and they dont have to be seperate from the other fish. Left alone, mine didnt breed. when i put them in a tank with other fish, bang.
Well mine have been in a tank with other fish, and didn't breed, also didn't color up at all, muddy brown. Were being chased a lot, so they are alone as of last night and actually already one is turning red on the bottom and the other a turquoise, so we'll see. I do water changes in all my tanks every Sunday morning. Sundays are treat and water change day, they love it.
Mine breed like rabbits and they lay any where they can. Mine use to lay on a pot but the clown loach gave them so much grief that they now dig out under the driftwood and lay them on the stones.
nice Pam!
