Her last bunch she finally spit out when they were ready for high school. I don't know why she tends to hold hers so long. Then only had 10 last time, but they were big already.

if your fish is healthy than up to a month of holding, should produce up to atleast 50 this time around

While she could probably release them any day now, she could also potentially hold them for another 17 days(I've had a yellow lab hold for 5 weeks before).

High school?
That is a great deal! No late night/early AM feedings, no powder food...lol..
My red zebra is like that. Her first ones were 3-4 days ago and when I stripped her and let her go, she started sucking them back up right away. spit 4 suck up 2

lol I had my Auratus hold for 4 wks then her next batch I stripped her at 20 days and they were free swimming...

Also if she has a bigger brood she wont be able to hold them as long as before due to their growth and her mouth only being so big...lol

They usually hold for up to four weeks.
Looks like there are a lot of them, she might not hold it for that long. My lab would hold them until I moved her to a separate tank, and that would be around 3-4 weeks.

Michelle , Our labs must be on the same cycle ... mine is holding again too.. Just got back from giving my LFS all the babies from the last mouthful...

LOL yeah Scott I think so. I just moved her Sunday to the nursery tank. Last time she spit on my birthday Mar31st, so she's alsmost 2 months later.
