yes my hubby purchased it as a gator gar, but have been told its just a short nose florida gar.

* korah , i think gars are more meaner ,in my experiance in keeping a gar my gar would swim one direction all the other fish would swim the other way ,he tried to eat my polleni ,salvini ,and peacock bass , nice gar though.

the gar i had was a alligator gar ,it looked like this when it was very young , it has gone a dark green all over the body with a white belly , with a huge appetite.
