sorry to burst your bubble tony, but this isn't a nugget, all nuggets (L18,L81,L177) have gold edged dorsals, which this guy lacks. It looks similar to my L201's

hi tango yes this one has very small yellow tips on his top fin and tail fin and hes only about 2 1/2 inches and yes hes def not an L201 we got himwhen we got our grey L164 ill get better pics soon

hi tangi i just called the store and they said he isa L029 original vampire pleco and the yellow tips will get bigger, they also just got a 3 1/2 blue phantom for 40.00 im thinkin about gettin, will they get along or should i put him in dif tank? thanx much

That is the best pleco website ( the one vince gave you) I would agree it is a vampire, but the L029 is not a gold nugget. Blue phantoms are essentially the same as the L200 Green phantom ( blue phantom being L128). BTW, where are you from Tony?

thanx tango is the lo29 a vampire pleco? that what i was lookin for when i got and yes the phantom they have is the L128,,we live in washington right across the piver from portland or, where we go a place called the wet spot a major whole cichlid dealer,and yes that happens to be one of the websight i was lookin at, as vince knows im a hard headed old school old names pain, thats very familar with various haps and peacocks and just startin to play with these plecos. butn yes is that number match a vampire plecohe cost 40.00 also, he looks awesome but you know how it goes
