are you sure that is a female. females (and juvies) stay gold and black right? males change color.

nice but that doesnt look like a female aurats , lee n megan are right about coloring of females . this looks very much like a chipokae . are you sure they mated cause it also looks male , which would explain it almost beating the auratus male to death .

yea u guyz are right....the male auratus is the one thats black and that blue one isnt an auratus...and the females are gold and black..take a look at my pics i have a male and female auratus

They are both males. 1 auartus 1 chipokae.

I just had to take my blue and black male back to the pet shop because he was WAY too aggressive. They sure are pretty though.

They change color as they mature, not their sex

no he was saying that it still looks like a male , females stay yellow males turn blue/black . look at my pics i have a male chipokae which your blue one is , and an auratus male .

Sorry guys but at times the female will change colors to. Not all the time but some do. Have seen it happen.
But I agree that the blue one is not an aratus
