it is a very good quality one, it rather Notatus, then Efasciatus.
Have allot of gold and very distinctive half bands.

it is a sevrum, south american cichlid, and we are located in indiana.

It's not sevrum, it is Heros Notatus, close relative to Heros Severum

about a 1 hour chase through a 180 gallon tank, the nipped upper came from an OB peacock last week.
