Nice Rams.. I found a website that might help.. it says "A sure fire way of sexing your Rams is to check the black blotch in the fish's side. If there are blue spangled dots in and around it, that's a female. Those with no dots present are males."

the top one is male the bottom one is female

notice the top fin towards the head the males is longer and more black and the bottom (female) is shorter and flattened to her head
