Telmatochromis temporalis
THIS IS NOT MY PIC. here is a temporalis. i still believe this is what your fish is. i think you should look into it a decide for yourself. i've done several image searches on both and stand by my choice. either way they are both shell dwellers and would benefit from them.

Thanks. I'm still not sure myself. I'm feeling a bit better though, the Leleupi is putting him in his place now and the others can adventure to the right side of the tank now! I guess it will be a bit yet before they all find their places =)

alright again, JOSH, so you know i am speaking specifically to you, let me help you understand this as ovbiously your head a little too thick at the moment. I'm very short tempered with people leading others into false information when they themselves are incorrect. The Telma starts off light colored, almost sand, and darkens with age, growing almost a full nuchal hump when adult. The Brevis starts off dark and remains dark. The Telma has no blue marking at all around their mouth, the Brevis DOES. The Telma can turn bright white in a matter of seconds during temperament change, the Brevis remains dark and darkens up when stressed. AND finally The Telma gets 3" max, the Brevis will grow almost 4", needs a lower pH and higher temperature. NOW if you have any questions about things you do not know, please ask, and stop giving people false information, I much prefer to help them maintain their aquariums and fish correctly, as most of the people on this website do.

you know i could sit here and argue with you all day, but i have better things to do. last i checked everyone is intitled to their own opinion. and for your info, although the one in this pic doesn't have blue in it some sp of telma do in fact have blue in their faces. and why is it that using several different search agents under the type you provided i was unable to find one remotely like sarahs? last of all i never said i was 100% sure. like i said it was an opinion. so if you have a pic of one why don't you post it for her to see and decide for herself.

Joshua, I wasn't talking to her, I was talking to you.and Telma do not have blue around their mouths, thats one characteristic that differentiates them. I am not arguing with you, I am correcting you, so that you know how to tell them apart as well.

ok then. i'll consider the topic dropped then

Josh,
evidently you had been misinformed or read something incorrectly, or assumed. I am quite simply showing you that there are alot of difference in these 2 species. Don't take offense, or anything else, just consider it something else you now know into your natural fish knowledge. Just means the next time you see one, you can tell them apart, and maybe you will be able to help someone else, hopefully its a LFS so you can help them to correctly label their species, or maybe a hobbiest who isn't certain either, that you can guide correctly too.

i didn't take offense to the fact that you were tying to correct me. i took offense to the little comments you were making. when i get pissed i have a habit of not dropping things. as far as i'm concerned it's done now. now if you'd excuse me i'm still worn down from the type o negative show i went to last night and want some more rest before i go to work.
