humm hard one I think they are all male, but I could be wrong, they could be all females, and what size tank do you have I hope it is bigger than a 30+ gallon tank.

Jack on the right is a male the other two are female, one on the left looks like she's takin a beating from the other two, female in middle has eggs in her belly and that tank is way way toooo small. once she drops the eggs bye bye other fishes all but jack and jill

there's no doubt in my mind those are all females, there's no way the females are beating up what some are claiming is the male, there's no eggs anywhere, none of those fish are in breeding colors

Take out the female on the left. The male on the right and the female in the middle are gonna kill her. They are beating her up cause they want to breed.

no one is taking a beating from anyone. these fish have been in a big tank with africans (they were getting along fine by the way)i was trying to seperate them and put them in a tank by themselves. this was only temporary they were like this for maybe 30 min. as if i need to explain.

i think tour mom is right this time it looks like the JD's are still pretty small but they all seem to have a lot of color on their gill plates. wich would indicate female. the convict? tha males simply don't have orange bellies. now that i took a cooser look the JD on the right could be male. how old are they?
