calvus black

this silly fish swam into a shell today after swaping tanks got stuck and i could only just see the tip off its tail i put the shell in a bowl with water then went to the garage and put the shell in the vice and crushed the shell enough so it cracked in two and out pop my calvus was scared for a moment

real nice,think it might be a male.. fins are looking pointed indicating male.but no guarantees..

i thought i was to until the shell slip in 2 perfect i tried brakeing it with hand tools but they didn't work so yeh that was the last option

quite honestly it was unnessecary to break the shell. Calvus breed in caves and in shells, they can easily get back out. Not only did you risk injuring the fish, let alone possibably killing it, you destroyed the shell that he may have been calling home. I would have given you a 10 smiles, but the danger you put it in just wasn't needed.
