since the last ``update of cichlids.com,a lot of people here are ``complaining`` about the fact that viewing pics can be quite long( the generated message appears quite often)also, i think and others do as well, that it was quite helpfull to see the latest comments on the last column, on every pages you are( not only the home page)to resume i think that the last edition of this site was the best one( im around here since 2 years, so i saw this site evolve)and wondering if some changes could be made..........cheers, the chuck .

I agree fully especially with the comments on every page. Keeps you posted on what everyone is talking about when catching up on browsing through pictures. And Chuck, it does work. Nice "Rainbow Cichlid".
Kidding Nice Parachromis friedrichsthalii.

the pics are not as organize as before. now we are seeing tank pics mixed up with the cichlids. you don't even have to click on tank picture to see the tank, its already with the fish pics. i think this site became sloppy since i joined not too long ago

yeah i agree two i have seen about 3 changes now i think that the one before this one was better bcuz it let u know if somebody has answer ur questions without having to go back and look at the main page and one more thing i cant nevr find the tanks it would be better if under the person's name it be an option to see their tanks.
Thank yall for the attention.

Alex has already stated that the column you are all speaking of will be returned. I also feel that all the complaining is not warranted, we all use this site free of charge. Alex had posted a thread in the forum about the need to update the site so as there will be more room and be more free flowing. He also said that if you have any suggestions to e-mail or post in that thread. "GO AND HAVE A READ". Of course the site is going to have a few bugs when updating. I say quit the complaining and let them work it out.

Kudos for all the work you guy's put in to this.

Just to clarify, that's not a Friedrichstahli, it's a Red tiger motaguense.

marc, i agree 100% with what you mean but this site is like every business and im sure the operators are open enuff to hear comments about their site...good or bad and think; no more people on the site , no more people to see the advertisement and no more cichlids.com...

You're right Marc....I feel bad now. Can't please everyone anyway no matter what you do.

Hi folks! Thanks for your suggestions and comments.

The "Page is being generated" shouln't appear no more. Let me know if browsing the gallery works better now.

The "latest comments" column is coming back very soon.

If you want to browse tank- or cichlid pictures, respectively, select your choice in the "Type" section on the very left column.

Best wishes,

Alex

PS: The money earned on this site with advertising is used to buy the harddisks required to host all this pictures and to pay the massive amount of internet traffic (100+ GB/month) :-)

it would be good if you could post videos on here , like fish feeding , swimming , or what ever else they do , you could get a better understanding of certain fish and how they behave by watching them on video instead of looking at a static picture ,IMO

apart from that the site is good , it has its pros and cons
