Cyphotilapia frontosa
this tank has a bunch of young africans and the big front. the most agro fish are an ob peacock and a jewel but they are not too bad. i want to move my 3.5" burundi to this tank (50 gallon). will the smaller front be ok with the larger one? the small front is bigger than most of the other fish in the tank. i really want to see them together but i dont want to take any chances of the smaller one getting hurt or being harrassed. he is in a 22 gallon growout tank now with peacocks and is the dominant fish in that tank. thanks

Dan, probably depends on if they are the same sex.. If male and female the fronts will probably be okay...

Dan, if the size difference is big, the bigger guy wont bother the smaller one, but having small hiding places, (too big for the bigger front to fit in)would raise the smaller one`s chances

changing the setup prior introducing the small one would be better also

Shoulsd be no problem. I have a 125 gal tax with about twenty fronts ranging in size from 1/2 inch to 12 inches. As long as you have hiding places for the smaller ones when they get tired of swimming away from the bigger fish.

No advice from me but one question....
When you get your next vacation will you come down our way and set up all of our tanks????
Man you have the touch for making them look sharp!!

thank you SM, you're sweet to say so. i like em to look natural and i like to experiment. the light on this tank is a 24 watt halogen desk lamp. i like the way it throws shadows on the rocks.

Nice tank Dan, what's the size diff. between the two? Fronts in general aren't to nasty with each other...But make sure the smaller one has a refuge in case there is some aggression.
