Yawn.
Yawn.
Geophagus altifrons
Not a great pic but it shows the big guy having a yawn.

Hey Marc,I may have a nic(mine)that will be looking for a new home soon if the he don't settle down a bit.

Hmmmmm! That'll be a tuff call giving that guy up mate, give it time. That's a large tank and to nice a fish to give up.

Yeah,it won't be easy but sometimes you gotta do these things. The hardest part will be convincing the missus,to her the geo's all look the same and the nic is her fave in the tank.Hmmm...

That'll be tuff going convining her then. Looks like i'll need to have a chat with her, tell her to smack ya round the head a couple of times to ya see some sense.;)

Thanks for the offer but i don't think she needs any encouragement in that area.Problem is she was the one that bought the nic.

Lol! You're right, gotta do what ya gotta do i sense how much you like the Geos and don't want to see thier beautiful finnage torn to shreads. I've been in the same postion before, i gave up my Black belt's and Carpinte's to keep the Festae. That was a tough decision i didn't wnat to make. Just give him some time and maybe try adding some specific territories to the tank before making any rash decisions. Good luck.

Biggest prob is,if the nic goes the Diadema will take over dominance and i think that would make things a lot worse. There is no way the Diadema's going anywhere as it took me that long to find it.Oh yeah have another Diadema coming soon,so things could get really interesting in the tank for a while.

You'll want to keep the Nic then to help keep the Dia's in check. Just think if you get rid of the Nic chances are it'll go to a lot less of a desired environment and the missus will not only beat you, she'll kill ya.lol! You should've kept the other tank, would've been handy.

well i have to agree with her about the geo's looking all the same, i mean they are very beautiful and so is the nic, but i have noticed with my nic to that they tend to be a lil aggressive sometimes( trys to pick on other fish) he flares out his lower jaw
