I have tried adding 2 peacocks and another stoni.. None of them made it 48 hours :o( After the stoni I decided that it was not worth the guilt and I would just keep the ones I have..

Christian, take him out put him in a tank by himself if you can provide alot of oxygen put salt and some aloe vera chemiclas and see what happens. And about the Lab how is he acting funny?
*Christian* :o) » posted 2008/04/29 - 04:24
Well the lab is not really breathing right and he's getting scared easily.....I have all the lights in the living room off right now because I was ready to go to bed and if I turn on the lights I'm afraid the ven is gonna freak out again and hurt herself so I'm just leaving them alone till I see what happens in the mornin

I would net them and put them in a treatment tank for the other fish do not get exposed to the illness.

Christian G., I once had a problem with fish having seizures and eventually dying. I made many water changes to no avail. Eventually I discovered that a lava rock that I had recently added to the tank was poisoning the water. When I removed the rock and made a water change all seizures stopped. Lava rocks have different compositions and some can be harmful. Have you added any new rocks or drilled an existing rock? This may not be your problem but who knows.
*Christian* :o) » posted 2008/04/29 - 04:36
No I had the rocks for a while and pretty much everything else in the tank.....don't really do any drastic changes to the tank....I honestly think it was the meds that got them like that...I have noticed in the passed my fish act weird wenever I trat with meds soo

Treat*
Mario Guerra » posted 2008/04/29 - 04:53
When fish act scarred like that it usually means the fish are poisoned. What ever is poisoning the fish accumulates in their bodies over time. In my case the new rock had been in the water for over a month before the symptoms showed up. You maybe be right it could be the medication itself or the medication is reacting with something else in your tank to create some kind of poison.

Going to buy new fish tomorrow since my tret and ven died.....should i get another ven?? Not gonna get any Tangs until i setup a tank for them....any suggestions on fish i should get?
Vince Cooper » posted 2008/04/29 - 17:36
Sorry Christian, I would wait on buying more fish until you at least clear the meds & make sure this illnesses over . If you do have a disease or water problem new fish will be effected by it due to stress from the move .
Christie & Joe » posted 2008/04/29 - 17:45
Sorry Christian, she was a beauty :o(
Vince is right about waiting to make sure everything is cleared up.
*Christian* :o) » posted 2008/04/29 - 17:51
Well everything is cleared up and my display tank is now back to normal....put the sick fish in isolation....will try to hold off on buyin new fish but its payday for me tomorrow and i always get that itch to buy new fish lol..
