Michelle, they are very beautiful, but not scary. He only wants to protect his territory. Sometimes he gets me and sometimes he doesn't. When all lights off in house but aquarium, complete tranquility when these semi-giants glide through water:)
He's a stunner, Travis. As Mr Young stated, the ones housed at a lfs will generally show more aggression due to the smaller territories. On top of that, they are constantly being tormented by those visiting the lfs. Given a wide, open territory as their own, they can indeed be quite passive.
