Paratilapia polleni
Bigger doesn't always mean better or stronger. I reunited this fella with a former tank mate thinking all would be forgiven with a larger tank and the abstraction of the female spark plug. In just a matter of two days, the big male popped out of the plant covering beat up and stressed to within seconds of his life. I managed to rescue him to a hospital tank I keep on standby. After several hours, he looked like he would make it but when I woke up the next morning to check on him, he had surcomb to his injuries. What a loss.
