Got a question. Would 1/8 inch thick slate sliconed on the back of a tank break the glass or to much weight on the glass. I have some nice gray slate in 10" x 18" sheets. I would like to silicone on the back of sone of my tank. Inside ob the glass.

As for the slate question: The slate is thin enough, so it shouldn't be too heavy - just remember that silicone expands when the tank is full.....so don't go too tight with the fit - allow some room for expansion and contraction and you should be fine.
Post pictures when it's finished - I'm curious as to how it will look (sounds like a great idea!)
