quite honestly those "hang on the wall" tank ideas only work for very small tetras. The angel fish in the picture looks like he can't even turn around. Now if this business is a Built INTO the wall idea, then good idea nd work hard for it!

this tank is 4feet long and 6inch wide
bip_ 4u » posted 2008/07/22 - 20:49
Looks good, but 6" inches isn't very very wide at all. To give some of you an idea... I wear a 7" bracelet around my wrist. I do wish you best of luck in your new business Ronnie.

glen chambers » posted 2008/07/22 - 21:26
should probably be at least 10 or 12 inches wide, but it does look good on the wall-good luck
Vince Cooper » posted 2008/07/22 - 23:26
wouldn't call it stupid but i wouldn't quit my day job. it will appeal to the non aquarist like a dentist office .
Byron G » posted 2008/07/22 - 23:37
R Kizel, why do you leave these stupid a** comments on everybodys stuff...ive notice this alot of times but ignored it, you need to chill out because its stupid and childish...i dont care if you like it or not im sure you can say it in a better, nicer way like everyone else has.

Ronnie, the idea is good but i dont think angels are a good choice of fish for it.

Seen these while I was in kuwait.

I think Vince hit it dead on. If I were selling them. I would gear towards offices.

Angel fish are a bad choice for this. As Tang'o said tetra's would be a much better option.
Ronnie Fawcett » posted 2008/07/23 - 00:31
the angels are only 1,1/2 in,i also have 3 big tanks 75gl.the angel are for pics and thank you for the com.

i like wall tanks that are of a NORMAL size for a cichlid species, not lil kid size tanks, whatever floats your boat i guess

no im just saying people do sh*t without paying attention to sh*t do u buy a car just cuz it looks nice? no u test drive it and inspect it. u dont just build a fishtank that isnt even practical?
redd cann » posted 2008/07/23 - 20:05

harvick fan » posted 2008/07/23 - 20:17
lol if you dont like it LEAVE ! ignorance is your downfall. i dont see any reason this tank would not work . maybe not for larger cichlids , but i could see tetras , or even rams or kribs in this tank . you mention practical , whats your definition of practical? the millions of 1-5 gallon little hex tanks that are out on the shelves being sold to people ? or the 55 gallon tanks that are being over populated with say 2-3 oscars ? or the grossly ugly rainbow colored gravel pushed on buyers as being pretty (of which , don't you use that in one of your tanks ?) when it does nothing but take away from your fishes color . or best yet (and i'm going to step on alot of peoples toes here ... those ugly mutant fish that are being pushed on people ie... tattoo'd parrots and tetras or just parrots in general . hmmmmmmmm dont you have one of those also? so i dont think your one to give out advice on practicality , would be best to bite your tongue or just leave if you dont care about the site .

ronnie i must give you kudos for having the balls to step out an start a business

we own a restaurant , are in process of an old car business 52 nash, 54 jag mark 7 140, 65 merc seabreeze, 68 sport fury 3. just registered the domain name for our fish business, and have two or three other businesses that we will be doing

after ten years of being in the hardest business that of restaurants losing 270,000.00 on my first restaurant i have to say this i have lost track of the ingnorant pieces of used toilet paper who told me that things cant be done

if you have a dream an vision for this go for it i can see this as being hugely successful cause the doubters fail to see one thing how thick is a wall and how hard to put a big tank up now how easy to attach a tank of that size perfect fit heck ya if you were in regina i would buy one of those an put it in my kitchen

may you have much success with your endeavour to your detractors just hold this to be true when they eat crow an have humble pie for desert they will not enjoy it

Justin Deans » posted 2008/07/23 - 23:39
I think its a good idea, good luck with your business. Lots of cool things you could do with that tank. Neons or cardinals with sand, banana plants or moss, or cichlid people could use it as a grow out tank.
