cichlids.com: Sick GT, any ideas?

Sick GT, any ideas?

Any idea what is wrong with him? When i got him a year ago, he had some whitish/pink dots at the base of his pec fins. I have seen it before on an older severum and thought it may just be nothing. His fins then got wrecked in a fight about 6 monthes ago, and now it seems the growth is getting worse, and spreading..

get this stuff called Mardel copper safe,,cures it all,my gts had bad whitespot and near death and cured them in a week. got it at petsmart

or you can try melafix that help my Gt when get sick hope it helps

Leigh...what are it's tank mates...looks stressed and has advanced stages of fin rot. Looks like it has been roughed up a little. Best thing you can do is quarantine in it's own tank not sure about the meds...but melafix is a good one for fin rot.

the fins were actually roughed up from another fish, he's been on his own for monthes now. i stressed him out with the picture taking. :P
