Sure? I have a thickskin and it's male, looks just like that. Yellow belly, and red tips on fins. He's bred with my female zebra obliquiden many times.

It may be male... Rarely do you see the stripes like this.... Usually it has a dull, faded look....

My guy turns jet black when he's "happy". And that yellow goes almost to a green color. Really cool to see. But normally, he's faded just like you say.
