about 1 1/2" to 2" when will the male start to change colors?

mine had started by now , he was a grey colour, but i have seen others that havent.. might be a chicky ..

Who split the gene ? What gene sequence was changed ? Does it show physically ???

OK...I was thinking more in the line of glowfish. They're danios whose genes were spliced with jellyfish DNA. Several employees at my LFS are working also at CMU (Carnegie Mellon University) on ongoing danio projects. The LFS always has 5 or six colors of glowfish

wal mart carries them and i think they rate right up there with parrots and other man made hybrids

Harvack...parrots are indeed hybrids. Glofish are not. They are genetically modified. The are the first genetically modified pets to have legal staus in the US.
