Labidochromis caeruleus
I have about 10 yellow labs in a tank and some started to turn black around their mouths. This one however decided to turn black around his mouth, belly, top, and get some stripes. I've heard that it's from stress so I've changed the tank setup so everyone can have their own cave area.

it can also be ph related, check your water parameters.

I've tested ph,nitrates,nitrites and ammonia levels before. I will test ph tonight and update accordingly.

I think the bigger ones may be ~2 years..i got them from a friend. I'm pretty sure this ones in full mating mode. He's doing a shaking thing in front of most of the other fish.

Over the past couple of days this guy has dug out a cave. I'm pretty sure its some sweet breeding colors.

This guy has dug a cave all the way through the gravel to the filter. I'm going to need to find this guy a girl.
