Kylie i figured it was an african the person i bought this tank from someone who has had him and the JD together for about a year and a half. seems to be very good friends always swimming together should i seperate and put him in with my africans or keep as is?
Cindy Misner » posted 2008/04/02 - 04:54
Well, I don't know the first thing about cichlids but if he has a buddy with the JD and they're always together why can't you leave them together? Why break up a good thing!
***kylie *** » posted 2008/04/02 - 04:56
depends on the person.. some say dont keep africans and americians together different needs diet wise others do and have no problems.. these guys are obviously use to each other..up to you keep a close on them if you keep them together and be careful with the protien needed for the jd malawi bloat if the ob gets to much .. up to you my friend..
R Kizel » posted 2008/04/02 - 04:58
I have no clue wat to do Kylie. thank you any body got ideaS? and Cindy thnks i kind of agree with that but i dont know if putting more americans in there will affect the african
michael diaz » posted 2008/04/02 - 05:01
Really Kyile JD can get Malawi bloat??
***kylie *** » posted 2008/04/02 - 05:02
if your adding more americians i wouldnt keep him in there.you will want to feed them a great diet to grow beautifully ... maybe trade him at your lfs.. the new comers might get a bit cranky at him..
Roger Hopper » posted 2008/04/02 - 05:02
Kizel, I would try him with the africans. The other larger americans might not be like the JD.. I don't like mixing them..
R Kizel » posted 2008/04/02 - 05:02
Micheal i think there was suppose to be a comma in between JD, Malawi bloat
Roger Hopper » posted 2008/04/02 - 05:03
Micheal I think she is talking about the Zebra..lol
***kylie *** » posted 2008/04/02 - 05:04
