I would not put them together. Micheal, you seem to be having some health problems with your fish. Did you get the one healed that had the hole in him? HITH normally water conditions. Are you doing regular water changes, and cleaning filter boxes?
THE chuck » posted 2007/11/19 - 22:39
i read that hith is food (lack of variety) related...poor water surely does not help

My water is spot less I clean about 20 percent every day......And the food that I feed them costs me 45.00 dollars
Roger Hopper » posted 2007/11/20 - 00:11
If you change 20% daily that could be a problem, to often unless there is a problem. Water clarity and price of food have nothing to do with it. I am just saying you keep having fish get sick there is something wrong. Don't be so offensive I am trying to help. Variety has nothing to do with price either. I don't pay but 13.00 for a large container of food, but feed the oscars worms and krill and healthy as far as I know. I have lost 1 fish to bloat.

Don't Oscars make the water really dirty really quickly?
michael diaz » posted 2007/11/20 - 00:19
Will I have them all in a 60 gallon until I get my 120 next week...I know you trying to help Roger and I thank you for your help...
michael diaz » posted 2007/11/20 - 00:33
And I know that is alot of oscars in a 60
Roger Hopper » posted 2007/11/20 - 00:47
grown oscars no more than one per 55 gal. Jenn, they are very messy eaters. They also produce alot of waste..
michael diaz » posted 2007/11/20 - 00:48
I know thats why I getting the 120..
Jennifer Morford » posted 2007/11/20 - 00:57
Not saying anything bad here, but Oscars are just kinda not attractive to me. I don't know how their personalities are, but I don't think I'll ever own one because of the waste they produce, plus with my pleco in there he already produces enough poop. =)

i agree jennifer , if they stayed small i'd own a bunch but they seem like overactive poop factories to me and i like more active fish too
