Yes Ryan, I breed them. OK, you can call them red texas. I choose name red carpintis, because red texas has been used to the name of a kind of flower horn (lou han), in the similar performance as th texas family.. red texas is a name refers to a kind of flower horn, but red carpintis is not a flower horn family. The anchestor of flower horn, including red texas, is very complicated. But, I really really know from which original cichlids red carpintis come. They have a very closely relationship with their anchestor, some original cichlids.
but, it's allright if you prefer to call them red texas. red carpintis is just my preference name for them, not common name. thanks for everything

Beautiful fish. I want one.how much are you selling them for?
alden praptono » posted 2008/05/14 - 06:42
Thank u Jason. But, you may have to be patient for some months, because it's not so easy to get this stream. In once breeding with thousands of kids, we may be just get two until five fishes with such stream.

"But, I really really know from which original cichlids red carpintis come."

Really? Fill us in. You are crossing a Carpintis with that parrot you call a Red slayer, correct? What is the bloodline of the Parrot?

A Red texas is not a flower horn. It's simply a hybrid that looks good, therefore some people label it a Flower horn.

I could be wrong I'm sorry if I am but This guy reminds me of a previous person who posted fish that where not his.His writing structure as well as the tanks in the posts look very familiar.

Marc, I've visited your pics, and I think they're so amazing. I know you're more expert in the knowledge about cichlid, I believe it.
And, I may be wrong about red texas and flower horn.. Thank you for informing me that red texas is not a flower horn.

But, I know better about the matter of my fishes, i.e. red carpentis in my term, or red texas in your opinion (no matter), because I know all the process from beginning. Therefore, for some reasons, I can't tell you much about these. At least not for now and in this forum.

For Shaun, thank so much for your comment. So sorry bout my writing structure. It may look not so good or funy, coz English is not my mother tounge :)

You may be waiting for any or another person who will claim about the belonging of the fishes in the pictures, right? Ok, let's wait for them together :)

regards
