In palm beach where my parents' house is i see these guys spawning all of the time along the canal banks. Such a vibrant, beautiful fish.

Juan yes in palm beach, i know where they come from. I've also seen many oscars and blue acara's in the canals to. Many central and south american fish have found thier way into florida waterways.

Yea all the time back when i go fishing down there. There were actually a spawning pair in my pond, along with the blue acara's i stated. Sometimes if your lucky you can see 2ft koi swiming down the canals lol.

Juan, there are all kinds of fish in the canals in S. Fla. Water is great for them and people get tired of them and dump them in the canals.

Dane, Born and raised in Luaderdale,(just got back from there) had a house in WPB before moving north.;)

I went to a place down in Homestead last week, a hatchery...angelshatchery.com and they have them in ponds yr round instead of tanks....with Japaneese koi no less. Great place btw.

Cool 'sm'. I used to live down in Ft. Lauderdale before i moved up to Palm Beach. But now im in gainesville.

Lol juan, i've yet to see a geophagus but im certain someone's pond has a few.

Born and raised in Luad. off of Sunrise Blvd...mom lives out in Plantation Acres now by the new Panther stadium. :)
