This actually is not a cichlid... LFS got it in as a "Pineapple Severum" expecting a variant of a Severum... It took a while and the help of knowledge on this site to identify this guy...

my lfs has like 20 of them in as pineapple sevs, and priced at $40 each, i was like no way in heck would I spend that much on a fish clearly mis-labeled as SA. they are awesome though, how big is he?

It is about 5"... I'd like to have a whole tank of them to sell at $40... I gave either 7.99 or 8.99 for this one at about 1 1/2"...
