THE ONLY FISH I HAVE SEEN TO SPARK MY INTEREST, I WORKED AT PETCO AT THE TIME LOOKED OVER IN THE AQUATIC AREA AND SAW A FISH DROPED OFF, PUT UP FOR ADOPTION, WHICH I GET FOR FREE I FIGURED I HAD A 15 GALLON WHY NOT TAKE HIM HOME, DID SOME RESEARCH FOUND OUT WHAT IT WAS AND BOUGHT A 55 GALLON, HAVENT LOOKED BACK SINCE, DEDICATED TO THE CICHLIDS THROUGH AND THROUGH

i brought my first cichlid at a pet shop for $5 that was closing down no idea what it was just loved it.. as bad as it sounds and i didnt know any better it lived happily in my tropicial for 2 weeks till another tank cycled.. and i still have this fish today ..

He's definitely a big boy. Cichlids are addictive, especially when you really learn about them and each species personalities and behaviors. What do you have in the tank with this beauty?

i have 2 ob peacocks, albino zebra, german red, another peacock, a gold nugget pleco and a pictus catfish
