One of the few non-demasoni's in the tank, this matured male metriaclima sp. msobo lives with and RULES my pseudotropheus demasoni colony. Despite being black and blue as they are (albeit stripe-less), the demasoni's tend to give him a wide berth.

I'm surprised yours is so mean, mine is a "pussy cat" in the tank. Nice quality fish though

I am surprised he is still alive.....
I bet the Midnight Demasoni would kill him,My friend had some od those and they gang attacked his Pombo Rock Demasoni and slaughtered all but three in just a couple hours while he was gone.

That is such a cool looking fish.Have been thinking about getting a trio my self..

Not saying I want your fish dead just that the Pombo rocks are mean but the Midnight variant is even meaner. and will fight in groups..

lee, if a group of mozambique ('midnight') demasoni's managed to eliminate this msobo, it'd be a much smaller group of 'midnights' afterwards. joking, of course, but seriously... ;)

Nice picture, what kind of lighting is that?

esox_66, this msobo's brother was recently relocated to my main mbuna tank where he's been fairly laid back. (probably because my larger zebras are well established in that tank)

Frank, two 20watt Marine-Glo's and a 40watt 10000k bulb. My camera makes it look blue-er than it actually appears to the human eye (though with the 10000k off, that's how it looks in person).
