Jewels can be very vicious when protecting thier eggs or fry.. they will kill anything else in the tank unless the tank is big enough for others to get away from thier wrath..

Wes, I will consider moving the other fish tomorrow if it looks like it will be a problem. There is 1 firemouth and two green severums in with them. I might just split the jewel up till I sell them. They are in a 40 gallon breeder. good to see you back online again.

They will tear up fish 3 times their size,when in parent mode, but without a mate they are really mellow , mostly..
