cichlids.com: Is this Normal

Is this Normal

We are not sure if these black spots are normal as we may have a MIDAS fish instead of the Red Devil we have thought it to be. Or if it is a Red Devil is this some sort of body Fungus? Always thought fungus was white or grey spots not uniform black spots. Help please. :)

i have a 4" midas, which has these black spots, then they go away, fish seems to be normal....

This is normal,believe it is triggered by stress

It looka like a man... I mean Midas. Boy Parrots must be half Midas. They do the same exact coloration as that guy. Kind of faded.

i had four of them and they all got black one turned almost all black now it looks just like yours

im not exactly sure. 1 time i had a fish that looked the exaCT same and it died. so im pretty sure ur fish is a dead man swimming.

my Midas did the same thing and was fine
