Hopefuly he won't eat the Frontosa to the side of him! lol how big is he?

the jardini is about 7 inches or so now he's so fat right now from all the goldfish...

he tends to leave the frontosa alone the frontosa just minds his own business and no problems occur lol

I hope the Frontosa minds his own cause the jardini could swollow him whole! lol How often does he eat goldfish?

well I get a batch of goldfish for my this tank about once a week and they just go nuts and the goldfish are gone within a matter of 15 minutes. My Kigoma (frontosa) even goes after the goldfish it's awesome. but the jardini usually gets most of em

I wouldn't feed live food. To many parasites in golfish.

right on matt, I love my jardini, jardinis are a lot better than silvers in my opinion because they can hold their own against aggressive cichlids

I like this photo because you can see the gf's eyes and mouth like nothing was up. My friends 6" bass ate her 2" Brichardi last night and the back fins stuck out of his mouth for a good 10 mins! YUCK! I can't stand feeder fish, but I can do the feeder shrimp.

lol yeah the goldfish was just breathin' like nothin' was goin wrong, but I've been lucky enough that my jardini hasn't tried to eat anything he isn't supposed to in the tank, but the other cichlids can pretty much handle themselves except for maybe the kigoma

At one point in time I used to feel sorry for the feeder fish, but you learn that's their purpose, I guess you could say. =) Next time you feed goldfish, take a few shots so we can see him chase/hunt them down. =) I'd rather pick out shrimp shells than fish parts...that's why I do shrimp, not fish.

well my other cichlids, SAEs and plecos don't let any pieces of these feeders go uneaten so it's really nice actually lol
