How can I tell the the males and females apart with the convics

I felt the darker convics females have orange on the bellies. Is that the same way with the lighter ones. Also The larger dark ones I felt were males. I just didn't know with the lighter ones. I have one that I hand picked for the markings. Must of been 2 different convics made this one. Its a light colored one with black markings. I will try to get a picture of it. He or she looks like it has eye brows. lol

I really like convicts. Very fertile! I can't help with the pink ones. Never kept convicts.

Yes, same goes for the pink cons. Orange bellies = females.

I love this place. I am new to this and love learning about them. I found out I had A convic before and had him in with other fish. He wasn't agressive. I didn't think the light ones were convics, and glad to find out what they are and tell the m & f apart. looking forward to the frys

We are just setting up 2 more tanks (a 20 gal in the living room and a 10 gal in the bedroom) I have been learning as I go. I just found out you need more females for the males. lol Tipical guys The sign came from petco. My husband Roger gets the credit he picked it out.
