my bumblebee for sure has ich but my biggest issue is trying to catch her in my new 135 gallon tank with a ton of hiding spots, what do you think of medicating the whole tank?

Clout worked for me, but am sure there are many other meds that you probably give you good results.
Adding your regular table salt and raising the temp a bit also works. if you google ich treatment you can find many dif suggestions. good luck!!

I have treated my sevs before with salt for pickling. There is no iodine in it. Cured them in about 5-7 days just fine with the temp up a bit.

im just really asking if its fine to treat the entire tank even the fish that dont look bad at all

i would move the sick fish to a 10 or 20 gal & treat it. i would then make a water change, raise the temp. & add salt to the main tank. usually an African that gets ich is being bullied & it's resistance is down.

I have treated the whole tank before.. Even if only one has it... I have had no issues from it.. Good Luck.. If you are running a sponge media type most treatments require those to be removed

From what I understand of ick, it would probably be in your best interest to treat the entire tank. Here is a good article about it....

Good luck.

Treat the whole tank, the ich parasite goes through different stages. It's in the water. Use quick cure 1 drop/gallon (unless you have catfish or loaches) or Cupramin (if these fish are present)(1ml/10gallons). Raise the temp to 84 F as this speeds up the life cycle of the parasite. Remove carbon from the filter and increase aeration (leave your sponges etc in as these are not affected by the meds here. Adding salt (1tsp/5 gallons) will help the fish redevelop their slime coat.

Oh yeah run the med treatment for at least 10 days to make sure you kill all the parasites.
