Jamie, very nice picture!
I have problems with my pleco tank taking pictures due to the blackwater conditions and tannins.
This definately is a heck... the other one didn't look near as clear as this pic!

Thanks all...Tang-I know some of my pics come out not so good, doing the fish no justice. I am just trying different shots/angles/lighting....All I do as far as editing is adjust the brightness and maybe crop to bring the particular fish in better view. I must say this is prob. one of the best "true" pics I have taken.

very nice shot jamie. this little 1 is way to young to tell male from fremale yet, itll have to be about 4-5" before you could make an educated guess. as for tank mates nothing boistrous or aggressive, discus, angels, severums, other geophagus, and tetras would be your best bets, but these fish always to best when kept with other geos, do not keep these fish with fin nippers such as most african cichlids, not just because of aggro, but also water parameters, they need soft acidic water, they are one of the most spectactular fish as adults, because of the rainbow threads they get in their fins, but those threads are enticing to other fish, ie mbuna, barbs. i wouldnt keep them with anything more aggro than a severum. hope this helps.
