keith wich variant is he?? i notice that theres 2 faces shapes of heckelii..i know that these are widely distributed along the amazon bassin but another population inhabits the Essequibo river in Guyana..do you know if that explain the 2 different faces profiles?(one from Amazon bass & other from guyana?)

Chuck,to the best of my knowledge this form is from Guyana,different forms and different colour variations from different areas.

The majority these days come from the Rio Branco in Brazil and have a rounded snout.
